“Northwest Life”

“Northwest Life” is a seven foot tall glazed ceramic and steel pillar sculpture celebrating some of the natural life found in the Pacific Northwest. The Great Blue Heron, frog, trout, crows, hummingbirds, bees, Great Horned Owl, and a person with arms raised in appreciation and wonder are featured. The glazed ceramic artwork is mortared and grouted to 1/2″ cement backer board which is screwed to a welded steel frame.

“Northwest Life” was chosen for the Happy Valley Sculpture Garden at City Hall in the town of Happy Valley, Oregon for 2017-19. It is now in a private collection in Bend, Oregon.
